Debt Settlement Coordinator (Full-Time)

Debt Settlement Coordinators perform office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of TLG, or its customers.

Essential Duties

  •  Answering Client / Creditor Phone Calls
  • Screening/responding to voice messages from creditors
  • Managing daily queue for all check by phones to the creditors for the primary result of debt resolutions
  • Appropriately Utilizing Internal Databases
  • Accessing and notating accounts
  • Accurately entering or confirming creditor information into database
  • Exercising proper transfer protocol
  • Effectively using computer systems for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting
  • Maintaining customer privacy when accessing customer accounts and information
  • Quality Assurance
  • Ensuring accuracy of all information provided to creditors
  • Meeting or exceeding company’s minimum expectations and guidelines relating to quality standards
  • Contact originating creditors, collection agencies and out of state attorneys’ offices in order to negotiate on client’s behalf for a reduced settlement on delinquent and/or charged off accounts
  • Calculate acceptable percentages for settlement according to guidelines set forth by department
  • Review internal funds availability report to determine funds necessary to complete settlement and payment of company fees
  • Gathering and submitting required documentation for approval and payment of accounts
  • Responsible for transmittal and receipt of various e-faxes to and from enrolled clients, creditors, collection agencies and out of state attorneys’ offices
  • Responsible for reports, and various other tasks assigned by direct supervisor(s)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in sales, collections, legal collections, or medical collections
  • Minimum of two years working experience in a call center environment, call center operations, or client support arena
  • Above average math skills
  • Excellent rapport building skills
  • Proficient PC skills in the Microsoft product line including: Word and Excel
  • Must be professional with a helpful attitude
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Good judgment, tact, persuasion, excellent communication skills are a must
  • Exercising a high degree of initiative, independence and the ability to meet time frames in performing assigned tasks including meeting and/or exceeding monthly quotas
