Accounting Assistant (Full-Time/Part-Time)

Position Summary:

Seeking an Accounting Assistant full-time or part-time in office work to support the Accounting department of a financial law firm in Melville, NY by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions in the computer, preparing reports, fielding communications with clients and vendors by phone and email, fact checking, calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct, filing, and other related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business admin or in the process of obtaining same
  • Minimum 1-3 years of office experience
  • Proficient in word and excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
